2.0 PLAY MAP EDITOR INTRODUCTION
The Play Map Editor is a versatile tool that lets you create unforgettable experiences and fun games in your city.
From hanging out with your friends to creating unique game modes, everything is possible even without prior knowledge of programming!
Will you recreate your favorite movie? Or maybe design a full-fledged battleground? The only limit is your creativity!
PLAY MAP EDITOR FEATURES
There are three main features you can control within the Play Map Editor.
- Entities: Place these freely within your map, and make them interact with (or be interactable by) players. Objects, props, event trigger boxes, etc., all fall within this category.
- Play Scenes: By using Play Scenes, you can create smoothly flowing experiences for the players of your Play Maps. Just like the scenes of a play, you can create scenes using different settings, props, and rules, or use them to make creative level designs.
- Rules: With Rules, you don't need years of experience programming to truly make your Play Map come to life. Make Props move, make Pipos into Props, set victory conditions, and countless other options are available by simply adding Rules.
In this chapter, we will dive into the deets about Entities, Play Scenes, and Rules.
